View of Main Street from a postcard

Photo probably taken in the 1950's - from the intersection of Main and Weld street towards lower Main. On the right is the Drug store - beyond that the old post office and continuing along the sidewalk towards the end of the street is where the Brackett house stood.

From another postcard -  a view of Weld Street probably taken about the same time from the same intersection.

Both show the beautiful elm trees before their removal to eliminate the spread of  Dutch Elm disease.
