Thomas Young

Thomas married Joane Clerk, daughter of Rowland Clerk, on 16 Sep 1597.

Thomas was the first explorer of the Kennebec River and in 1636 he was captured by the French, taken to Quebec and then to France. (NEGHR .- Vol.43,  p.134)

On 8 Sept. 1640 Capt. Thomas Young was at Saco. ( Maine Provincial and Court Records- Vol. I, p.81)
