James married Elizabeth Long on 23 May 1643 in Woburn, Middlesex, Massachusetts. (Elizabeth Long was born on 14 Nov 1621 in Dunstable, Bedford, England and died on 10 Aug 1691 in Groton, Middlesex, Massachusetts.) James next married Eunice Brooks, daughter of John Brooks and Eunice Mousall, on 18 Dec 1694. (Eunice Brooks was born on 19 Oct 1655 in Woburn, Middlesex, Massachusetts and died in 1732 in Woburn, Middlesex, Massachusetts.) 13 MAR 1675/76 Capt. Parker was commanding a part of the Groton, Mass. militia during the attack on Groton during King Philip's War. The Parker house was one of five garrison houses in Groton. Parker and family survived the attack . Four of the five garrisons survived 1683 Rep. to General Court of Massachusetts Bay Colony from Groton, Massachusetts Records, Vol 421.
