Richard Leach
Richard married Sarah Fuller about 1645 in Salem, Massachusetts. (Sarah Fuller was born about 1618-1620.) Richard was a freeman 3 May 1665 at Salem His children were baptized between 1648 and 1661 at Salem's First Church. In 1657 he leased a farm of Governor Endicott. Richard had a grant of land at Salem, near that of his brother John, in 1690; was a member of the first church 1648; freeman, 1665. Military: Richard was lieutenant of the second Salem company in the Essex Regiment led by Major Denison during King Philip's War; two years later he was captain. Richard's will was probated November 25 1687; bequeathed to wife Sarah; son John; daughters Elizabeth, wife of Benjamin Collins; Mary wife of Benjamin Ireson, Hannah & Rachel; Joseph, Sarah and John Herrick, children of daughter Sarah; and young Pasho Foote, now with him..
