Moses Gilman Sr.
Events • He had a residence in Ipswich, Essex, Massachusetts. • Estate: Moses recieved numerous grants of land during his lifetime. His will indicates that he was a man of wealth. He was frequently appointed to the position of trust of Exeter, & was Selectman for several years. He made his home in Newmarket, adjoining Exeter, & the charmed beams of a portion of his original house are still to be seen in the country home"Gilman Terrace" which remained in the family until the recent death of Mr. Frank G. Peavey, descendent. The children of Moses Gilman all married prominent NH families. • He immigrated Ship The Dilligent on 10 Aug 1638. Ipswich, Suffolk, England to Boston, Massachusetts, United States • He worked as a Townsman in 1652 in Exeter, Rockingham, New Hampshire. • He signed a will probated 6 Aug 1702 on 12 Jan 1702. |
